Report of the Seventh Ad Hoc Advisory Committee on the Funding Strategy

This document contains the Report of the seventh meeting of the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee on the Funding Strategy, held from 18 to 20 September 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Report was published online on the Treaty website and circulated to the National Focal Points through a notification. The Report is accompanied by a cover note summarizing the major outcomes of the meeting. The Committee agreed to have a resumed session which was held from 26 to 27 March 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland. The report of the resumed meeting is contained as Addendum 1 to this document.

Bioversity International has just announced the Vavilov-Frankel Fellowships 2012 to carry out research, from 3 to 12 months, on a wide range of biophysical, economic and social themes related to the conservation and use of plant genetic resources in developing countries. Under this call, two fellowships of up to USD 20,000 will be made available through a fund that since 1989 has supported 37 young scientists from 24 developing countries.
